Printing press certification

The purchase of a new or used printing press represents a significant investment. print quality uses a generally recognised test together with its partners to determine whether the machine meets the necessary technical parameters. This gives the buyer, but also the seller, a certain amount of security.
 
The quality assessment of new and used printing presses in sheet, roll or continuous processes is performed according to the current technical guidelines for the certification of sheet and web offset presses in accordance with the German Print and Media Association e.V. (bvdm).

 

 
The certification test contains the following parameters and more:

 

• Tone value
• Shifting / blurring
• Ink fade
• Stencilling
• Paper standard deviation

• Feed accuracy
• Register accuracy between the printing units or for the entire print line
• Hue variation in the entire printed sheet
